Internet celebrity and rising mainstream media mainstay, Gary Vaynerchuk, continues his assault on pretentious and traditional wine appreciation. The host of Wine Library TV made his second appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien last night as he continues to make his rounds on the talk show circuit in promotion of his new book Gary Vaynerchuk’s 101 Wines. He recently appeared on The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, and he as more TV appearances lined up.
Gary has quickly rose to Internet fame for both his “average joe” approach to wine appreciation and his ability to use the social web to take his real world business from 4 million a year to 60 million. His daily webcast reaches an audience of 80 million. He presents his wine critiques with an unbridled enthusiasm that has really connected with a younger crows that would traditionally have felt intimidated by wine experts.
